UX bookclub Canberra

We had a great turnout (by our standards) for UX bookclub Canberra this evening with eight local UX practitioners meeting at Tilley’s in Lyneham for a fantastic couple of hours discussing a number of books and topics.

Keith Lang came prepared with notes on Dan Ariely’s new book “The Upside of Irrationality” complemented by additional commentary from Donna Spencer.

Other books thrown on the table and shared around included Dan Roam’s “The Back of the Napkin”, Emily Pilloton’s “Design Revolution”, Joshua Porter’s “Designing for the Social Web”, Bill Moggridge’s hefty “Designing Interactions” even a book on typography Erik Spiekermann and E.M Ginger’s “Stop Stealing Sheep” and a UX book in Japanese brought back from Japan by Caronne plus more.

Great atmosphere, great discussions, great evening!
