OpenAustralia is a site that aggregates House of Representatives debates with data about the Members of the House of Reps and presents it in a way that makes it easy to see what debates your Member in your electorate is participating, what they’re saying.
At what point do we call their bluff?
Is the excuse of “national security” as a reason to suppress free speech and cloud the transparency of government valid? Telling you what you can’t say, what you can’t do, where you can’t go and what you aren’t cleared to know?
Government 2.0 - Bringing back the town hall
What we’re attempting to do with establishing this notion of Government 2.0 or Council 2.0 … it’s not revolutionary. We’re just trying to reinstate something we used to have
